Sonographer

A Sonographer uses ultrasound equipment to diagnose and monitor health conditions. You may use ultrasounds for pregnant patients, but this equipment is also used for a range of other health issues. Sonographers ensure patients are correctly positioned to gather accurate information and make sure sonography images are of suitable quality.

Sonographers should have excellent technical abilities and be able to understand the individual needs of patients. It’s important you have good interpersonal skills and can communicate well with patients and health care professionals. Sonographers must have strong attention to detail and be familiar with medical terminology.
