Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course provides individuals with the fundamental principles and practices of infection prevention and control in various healthcare settings. It equips healthcare workers with the knowledge and skills required to reduce the risk of infections spreading to patients, staff, and visitors.
Participants will learn about standard and transmission-based precautions, the chain of infection and how to break it, identifying and responding to infection outbreaks, and implementing safe work practices to prevent the spread of infections. The course also covers the legal and ethical responsibilities of healthcare workers in relation to infection prevention and control.
