Bachelor of Arts (English Literature)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationBachelor of Arts with a Major in English Literature is a program designed for aficionados of the written word. Beginning with the age of Shakespeare, this degree will introduce you to the whole span of English Literature through the ages including romantic poetry and the Gothic novel. You will then explore current theories of modern theatre, children’s literature, and the challenges faced by Australian authors in the Postcolonial context.
By studying a wide range of literature across various cultures, an English Literature Major equips you with the skills to succeed in a variety of professions. Closely examining and interpreting texts, you will simultaneously improve your critical and analytical thinking, as well as learn how to express your thoughts and findings in a clear manner.
