Bachelor of Arts (History)

Nationally Recognised Higher Education

History is an exciting and inspiring way to understand the present and imagine the future by exploring the past. It provides a comparative and dynamic perspective, using local, regional and global scales, for explaining continuity as well as change in different societies and places. In doing so you will develop broadly applicable skills in research, writing and argumentation. Our program will expose you to numerous past cultures around the globe and trace how they evolved and interacted to produce the world we live in today.

You will develop a unique, critical approach to examining texts, material artefacts and environments as you learn more about and compare between specific civilisations and from different points of view. Major themes include colonialism, health, technology, the environment, conflicts, race, gender, religion, cities and nationalism.
