You'll undertake advanced subjects that build on your bachelor’s study and focus heavily on research methods and techniques. This knowledge will prepare you to complete a substantial research project – the major component of your honours program.

Criminology Major
This major examines the nature of crime and the causes of criminal behavior. You'll choose compulsory courses in criminal justice or social science, be trained in social research methods and learn how to study crime and its regulation in contemporary society.

The honours research thesis is the largest component of your program, giving you the chance to develop and complete all aspects of a major research project under the guidance of a supervisor.
