You'll undertake advanced subjects that build on your bachelor’s study and focus heavily on research methods and techniques. This knowledge will prepare you to complete a substantial research project – the major component of your honours program.
Geography Major
This major focuses on the principles of scientific investigation and how to apply them to understanding and solving local or regional environmental issues. Compulsory courses will expand your knowledge and skill in research relating to the earth and its environment. This includes risk assessment, regulatory compliance and accountability.
The honours research thesis is a major component of this program. In this individual project you'll define a research topic and methods relevant to your field, conduct in-depth research and present your results in a dissertation.
