Japan is one of the world’s most industrialised countries with an important diplomatic presence, and is one of Australia’s largest trading partners.
The Japanese Studies major emphasises intercultural language learning, where you’ll explore and understand the relationship between language and culture. You’ll study the Japanese language, Japanese manga/anime, literature, culture and history. You’ll have the opportunity to attend translation and interpreting workshops. Units are available from beginner to advanced level.
