About Korean studies
Language teaching at Monash uses interactive and multimedia resources to bring Korean culture and language to life. You’ll be introduced to Hangul, the Korean phonetic writing system, which will enable you to type in Korean from beginner’s level onwards. Our academics are world leaders in the field of Korean history, literary studies and language education.
Korea is one of Australia’s largest trading partners, and the close political and strategic relationship between the two countries is constantly developing and expanding in a number of sectors, including trade, education and tourism. Developing a high level of linguistic and intercultural competence will give you a clear advantage when applying for jobs and it will diversify your career options.
