Economics Major
Economics is a social science that uses the scientific method of enquiry in its approach to understanding how societies, governments, businesses, households, and individuals allocate their scarce resources. An undergraduate major in economics focuses on clear-headed logic. It involves the use of mathematical and statistical tools whenever possible to assist in this analysis, learning how to understand the world in terms of trade-offs and incentives.
An economics major assists in learning how to analyse data and assists in the development of economic models that could influence business and government decisions and policies.
