This one-year program will teach you how to conduct research relevant to business or finance. Entry is based on your undergraduate grade point average.

You'll undertake a compulsory course on research methods, study electives that will advance your existing knowledge and skills, and complete a thesis on a topic of your choice.

Your honours year will open doors to a career in research or consultancy, industry or academia, and provide you with an advantage when applying for roles both in Australia and overseas.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.
  • To be eligible for admission, a person must have completed the program requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent award), including all courses listed as pre-requisites for entry into honours, with a GPA of at least 5.5 for an approved combination of courses.
  • Applicants who completed an equivalent award must demonstrate that an equivalent body of knowledge has been gained to an equivalent standard. Entry to the program for these applicants may be subject to completion of additional work.
  • Approval is required from the executive dean where the degree used for entry was completed more than two years prior to program commencement. If enrolment is approved, the executive dean may set conditions.
