Highly regarded by the arts industry and internationally recognised, our lecturers are renowned practising artists, art historians, curators, and cultural commentators. They are passionate about art and about bringing their innovative practice and industry experience to your education.
Your learning will take place at the Caulfield campus, a creative hub with a rich history going back over a century. Here you'll also find the Monash University Museum of Art (MUMA), the MADA Gallery and the student-run Intermission Gallery; spaces for you to be inspired by, engage with, and where you can practise your skills.

Qualifications
Equivalent Australian Year 12
Subject prerequisites
Australian VCE subjects: English Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 27 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL.
IB subjects: English: A score of at least 4 in English SL or 3 in English HL or 5 in English B SL or 4 in English B HL
VET Study
To be considered for the Art History and Curating specialisation, applicants will normally require at least 60% average. To be considered for the Fine Art specialisation, applicants require successful completion of at least Certificate IV.
Higher education
University: Two single units at an Australian higher education institution satisfy minimum entry requirements, but more units may be useful for selection, especially in areas of study related to the course in which admission is being sought.
All applicants must satisfy the equivalence of the VCE subject prerequisites
