Below is a suggested sequence of subjects for each major for students starting the course in the Autumn session:
- 31265 Communication for IT Professionals: Develops professional IT practice skills through the Engineers Without Borders Challenge, focusing on creating design solutions for real-world technology projects.
- 31266 Introduction to Information Systems: Explores the integration of technology into today's business environment, covering topics like mobility, complexity, globalisation, and technology's role in improving business competitiveness.
- 41039 Programming 1: Introduces core programming concepts using an object-oriented approach, emphasizing project-based learning and independent research, experimentation, and communication skills.
- 31268 Web Systems: Provides an introduction to information technology using the web as a central case study, offering insights into the hardware, software, networks, and operating systems behind websites. Students set up a functional website to apply this knowledge.
