Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThe Honours program in Medical Science is designed to provide students with a firm foundation for further study in medicine and future vocational career pathways. The opportunity to undertake an in-depth research project will provide an important understanding of the processes of medical research in laboratory, community and clinical settings. As well as the major research project, students are required to investigate and communicate analysis and outcomes of other important contemporary biomedical research.
The Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) prepares students for a range of careers in medical research upon completion of their MBBS degree. By providing a year of training in research, it aims to give students a competitive edge in post-graduate and vocational study, or in seeking employment in biomedical research laboratories.
