Bachelor of Midwifery (Honours)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThe Bachelor of Midwifery (Honours) degree is designed to develop students' knowledge and skill in research and involves a research project in a selected field of Midwifery. It is intended for registered midwives who wish to prepare themselves for higher degree studies. The honours program contributes to midwifery leadership in practice, research and education.
The concept of research is broad and includes the creation of new knowledge and/or the use of existing knowledge in a new and creative way so as to generate new concepts, methodologies, inventions and understandings. This could include synthesis and analysis of previous research to the extent that it is new and creative (Australian Research Council, 2018).
The results of which will be presented as a thesis or publication ready document. The program consists of the development, conduct, analysis and reporting of research. The program consists of 80 units of Core Courses.

Admission to this program is available to Australian citizens and residents only.
Eligibility for admission to this program is based on applicants having completed a Bachelor degree in Midwifery with a minimum GPA of 5.0.
In exceptional circumstances, an application that does not meet the above requirements may be considered.

All Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the University’s English proficiency requirement.
