The course provides students with coherent knowledge of the performing arts, combining theoretical and technical knowledge of performance and seeks to unlock limitations through practical inquiry. It also examines the ever-evolving nature of contemporary practice and new approaches to presentation and production.

Our eight schools collectively deliver a diverse range of courses across arts and humanities, business and law, education, engineering, medical and health sciences, nursing and midwifery, science and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
Courses are offered on our three campuses – ECU Joondalup and ECU Mount Lawley in metropolitan Perth and ECU South West in Bunbury, 200km south of the capital city. ECU also offers a comprehensive suite of online study options.
