The Bachelor of Science (Honours) lets you take that next step. It is only available if you have achieved a GPA of 5 in the second and third years of your Bachelor degree and have organised your project and a supervisor.
You'll undertake a major research project under the supervision of one of our leading researchers. The degree will be assessed through coursework, research project performance, thesis, and seminar. This is the opportunity to hone your skills and demonstrate your research ability under the eyes of an experienced science professional.

HONOURS DISSERTATION-6002ESC_P1
This course is only available to students enrolled in an Honours program offered through the School of Environment and Science. Students will undertake a research project relevant to their area of specialisation under the guidance of one or more supervisors appointed by the Honours Program Director. -
HONOURS DISSERTATION-002ESC_P2
The topic and nature of the Research Project will be determined through consultation and mutual agreement of the student and supervisor and approved by the Honours Program Director. The project will involve original research and will be under the direct supervision of an academic staff member. -
TOPICS IN APPLIED MATHEMATICS 1
The ability to present mathematical arguments and results in an accurate, coherent, and logical manner, and at a level appropriate for the intended recipient, is an essential attribute for any potential employee. -

Each of these courses will examine an area or areas of Applied Mathematics at an advanced level. The areas selected will depend on the expertise and availability of staff and will be relevant for the student's area of applied mathematics. -
