Do you want to study a maths and statistics degree online? The Bachelor of Science (Mathematics and Statistics) is the only degree of its kind offered completely online in Queensland. Examining the fundamentals of theoretical and applied statistics, mathematical modelling and operations research, and computing and coding skills the degree incorporates practical methods for undertaking analysis, modelling and evidence-based, data-driven decision-making.

There is currently a shortage of professional statisticians and graduates with strong quantitative knowledge and skills across a range of industries in Australia. Graduates of this degree have found work with the Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Queensland Institute of Medical Research and the Queensland Treasury.
