Bachelor of Secondary Education (Applied Teaching)
Nationally Recognised Higher EducationThe Bachelor of Secondary Education (Applied Teaching) will be delivered through a range of teaching approaches that model best practice in schools and will include a range of scaffolding techniques to assist performance. These include explicit teaching, collaborative learning, questioning, modelling, feedback, task management, and the use of metacognitive strategies.
The teaching approach is predominantly activity-based and collaborative, which enables you to engage with and explore issues related to developing positive learning environments in secondary school classrooms. It also models High Impact Teaching Strategies, which are used in secondary schools, and you will get the opportunity to practise during placements in secondary schools where the VCE Vocational Major is offered.
