The 22472VIC Certificate I in General Education for Adults is the recognised qualification to achieve foundation literacy and numeracy skills. This course is for people who may not have completed their High School/Secondary College education and who want to undertake other courses or employment in the future.

This course focuses on the development of literacy skills to create and engage with a range of familiar and less familiar paper-based and web-based text types of limited complexity. The focus is on reading, interpreting, and evaluating everyday texts and developing mathematical knowledge to apply numeracy skills in everyday familiar situations. Skills and knowledge are applied to develop and document a learning plan and prepare a portfolio.

Undertake a Pre-training Review by interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.
