Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The ACM20121 Certificate II in Animal Care (formerly Animal Studies) will prepare you for a range of jobs such as an animal carer or animal attendant in a doggy daycare, kennel or cattery, stable, veterinary clinic, animal shelter or pet shop. This nationally recognised, 1 year course will give you the foundation skills and knowledge to get started in the animal care industry.

Complete mandatory hands-on training in a workplace setting.

About Applied Vocational Training
Applied Vocational Training (AVT) was formed in 1998 in Perth, Western Australia, by Veterinarians and Veterinary Nurses looking to provide quality training for students seeking qualifications as a Veterinary Nurse and gaining employment in the veterinary industry. Over the years, we have extended our range of courses and nationally recognised certificates to include qualifications in Animal Studies, Animal Care, Horse Care and Animal Behaviour and Training. Our courses allow students to enter a diverse range of roles within the animal and pet care industry particularly those starting their careers.
