Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)
Auslan (Australian Sign Language) is the majority language of the Deaf community in Australia.
This course teaches introductory Auslan skills for discussing simple matters/everyday familiar topics in a variety of situations. Students learn basic signing skills and Deaf community cultural values from teachers who are actively part of the Deaf community.
Students who complete this course are prepared for further formal Auslan language study.
