Certificate II in Building and Construction Pre-apprenticeship
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)You will develop the skills and knowledge you need to have a successful career as a carpenter in the domestic housing industry or commercial construction area. You will learn how to use basic carpentry tools, power tools and equipment, read and interpret plans, handle carpentry materials and construct pitched roof, ceiling frames and flooring systems.
While carpenters have their specific skills and tasks to perform in the building process, carpenters must have knowledge of all other trades as a carpenter’s work often accommodates the other trades who follow them.
The training is provided to our students by trainers and assessors that have been firstly apprentices themselves then moved on to become qualified tradesman themselves and still maintain industry currency by working with other contractors or running their own subcontracting businesses.
