Certificate II in General Education for Adults
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Certificate II in General Education for Adults focuses on the development of literacy skills to create and engage with a range of familiar and unfamiliar complex text types.
The focus is on interpreting and creating a range of structurally intricate paper-based and web-based text types, which may include some specialisation, and applying knowledge of everyday and formal numeracy in a range of contexts. Outcomes also focus on the skills and knowledge to conduct a project and investigate pathways, and develop, implement, and review a learning plan.
The Certificate II in General Education for Adults allows students to further improve and practise their literacy and numeracy skills. This course is for people who may not have completed their High School/Secondary College education and who want to undertake other courses or employment in the future.

Before being accepted into the course applicants must:
- Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) online test to ensure the required literacy & numeracy levels for the course are met.
- Undertake a Pre-training Review by interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.

- VIC Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the VIC Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
