Certificate II in Work Education
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This course provides you with the opportunity to develop your work ready skills, knowledge and behaviours to prepare you for employment. The course is run by Box Hill Institute for a variety of disability service providers and is delivered on campus.
Do you know what you want to do but need a little more help to get there? Is there an industry that you would like to learn more about or work in?
In this course, you will explore the job roles within your industries of interest and identify the skills you need for those jobs. You will learn about work place safety and understand the behaviours that are required to find and keep a fantastic job! You will be given the opportunity for hands on experience through work placement, so that you can practice the skills you learn in the course. These skills include communication, teamwork, personal management, problem solving, and decision making.
Your friendly teachers will be with you every step of the way to support you with your learning and give you feedback on how you are going. Delivery and assessment will be adjusted to promote your success and encourage you towards a bright future!

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
This course is intended for post compulsory school age learners with evidence of a permanent cognitive and/or intellectual disability, who wish to improve their work readiness skills with the aim of gaining employment.
It is recommended that students first complete 22566VIC Certificate I in Work Education, however there are no formal prerequisites.
