Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)MEM30505 Certificate III in Engineering – Technical would prepare a person for selecting, adapting and transferring skills and knowledge to new environments and providing technical advice and some leadership in resolution of specified problems. This would be applied across a range of roles in a variety of contexts with some complexity in the extent and choice of options available.
Technical employment may include production planning – scheduling, work study and estimating materials, handling systems and like work, also including design and drafting with Computed Aided Drafting and Design, inspection, quality control, supplier evaluation, laboratory, non-destructive testing, technical purchasing and design and development work (prototypes, models, specifications) in both product and process areas.
