Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of light vehicles in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.
This course is designed for international students who will be involved in classroom training in a full time capacity to gain the qualification. These students may come from different countries and cultural backgrounds and must hold a valid student visa.

On campus
Work with instructors and classmates in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Work Placement
The work placement component is a total of 105 hours. The work placement will be completed in an approved automotive workshop and we will assist you to find a work placement or you can find your own. Your work placement will be discussed in detail with you once you start your course.This course is delivered face-to-face in a classroom-based setting, as well as in an automotive workshop and through a work placement.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
You must:
- be at least 18 years of age.
- have completed at least Year 12 or equivalent.
- participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course and student needs.
- have an IELTS* score of 6 (test results must be no more than 2 years old). English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following: educated for 5 years in an English speaking country or successful completion of an English Placement Test.
Note that other English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted. You are required to provide your results so that we can confirm they are equivalent to IELTS 6.
