Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) The MAR30824 Certificate III in Maritime Operations (Marine Engine Driver Grade 2 Near Coastal) at Whitsunday Maritime Training Centre provides the essential skills to operate and maintain marine engines and auxiliary equipment within the Australian EEZ. This AMSA-approved course qualifies graduates to act as Chief Engineer on vessels up to 750 kW or Second Engineer on vessels up to 1500 kW.
