Get the skills to work in any school, with children or young people by studying the Certificate III in School Based Education Support. Graduates could be working one-on-one with a student, or helping out in a class.
Participants will learn how to support the education, learning, and behaviours of children and young people, including students from other cultures and those with disabilities or learning challenges.
Delivery mode
GOTAFE offers this course through the following delivery modes:
Traineeship
Work and gain real-world experience while earning a qualification.
Work Placement
Complete mandatory hands-on training in a workplace setting.
Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB)an online test to ensure the required literacy & numeracy levels for the course are met.
- Undertake a Pre-training review interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.
- Prospective workplace students need to be employed a minimum of 3 days per week in the production horticulture industry. Students will need to provide their Employer's ABN during the enrolment process.
- Prospective Traineeship or Apprenticeship students are required to apply through an Apprenticeship Network Provider with their employer to organise their apprenticeship contract before applying for this course.
- Students will be required to provide evidence that they have applied for their Working With Children Check (Volunteer or Workplace).
