Certificate IV in Ageing Support
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The purpose of this qualification is to provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to work within the Ageing Support service sector. The qualification is structured to combine theory with practical placement and is directed towards providing students with relevant skills, knowledge and values necessary to have as professional ageing support workers.
This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community-based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.
