Certificate IV in Health Care
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification has been designed to offer a clear pathway from a Certificate II in Medical Service First Response to a Diploma of Paramedical Science and is best suited for individuals who will be providing pre-hospital emergency medical care on ambulance, industrial or offshore environments or where urgent professional care is required.
This qualification reflects the role of workers who provide initial pre-hospital and out-of-hospital health care response and assessment to patients requiring urgent medical services. The provision of urgent clinical care includes providing basic life support. The qualification applies to people working in a variety of roles including ambulance officers, patient transport officers, industrial medics and basic life support medics.
