It's ideal for individuals who aspire to work as medics, emergency medical technicians(EMTs), or first responders. Whether you’re a healthcare professional looking to expand your skills or a motivated individual seeking a fulfilling career, this program will provide you with comprehensive training in emergency medical services. You may use it as a bit of a “taster” to see if you want to go on to university and study a paramedic degree.
Clinical Workshops
You will complete one 5-day clinical workshop and 80 hours of clinical placement throughout your Cert IV.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- Be at least 16 years of age (parental consent required if under 18)
- Meet the language literacy and numeracy requirements (LLN)
- Be an AUS/NZ citizen, AUS PR, or hold an approved temporary visa
- Driver’s license is required if opting to complete
- HLTOUT007 Transport non-emergency patients under operationalconditions or
- HLTOUT006 Transport emergency patients. - Have consistent access to a computer and internet to study and complete online assessments
