If you are also looking for some volunteer work / experience in community services, this course would help you to grow your skills leading into mental health related work.
The course explores the relationship between mental health in the community and in work place. Focusing on working with families that deal with mental health issues is also highlighted. A well-structured workplace learning module is included to help you deliver practical skills.

On campus
Work with instructors and classmates in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Work Placement
Students will be required to undertake 80 hours of work placements to apply knowledge and develop their skills as part of the course requirements. Placements may occur in aged care, disability, or other aged care and community settings in Melbourne or Regional areas as organised by ALACC and according to the course requirements.This Certificate IV level qualification will be delivered using a blended delivery model with a combination of face to face class room based and computer aided training sessions.
