This qualification provides you with the required skills and knowledge to become a drafter who supports building designers and architects. Drafters produce drawings and documentation and use CAD software to draft and document residential Class 1 and 10 building designs under the supervision of licensed or accredited building designers or architects.
Practice at this level is underpinned by the knowledge of construction methods and materials and the application of relevant compliance, planning and building requirements for Class 1 and 10 buildings which are defined in the National Construction Code (NCC).
