Attaining a Certificate IV in Train Driving requires an assessment of competence against nationally recognised qualifications, this can only happen once you are employed by a rail operator as a trainee.
We recommend you directly apply for positions with Rail Operators in your state such as Sydney Trains, Queensland Rail, Aurizon etc. as they train internally.
However, if you have had prior train driving experience and hold some of the units that make up a Certificate IV in Train Driving, you may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
