Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This qualification reflects the role of a veterinary nurse who works under the supervision of a registered veterinarian to provide nursing care to animals, to support veterinarians to carry out medical and surgical procedures, and to support clients to maintain health of animals.

Domestic Students
- Completed Certificate III (AQF Level 3) or above in an animal science discipline OR
- Completed Certificate II in Animal Studies or equivalent qualifications OR

Australian College of Applied Animal Studies (ACAAS) is a small registered training organisation situated on the eastern outskirts of Melbourne.
The College provides students with a high degree of industry based training aimed to give graduates the skills required to successfully enter into the veterinary nursing profession.
