Certificate lll Animal Care Services
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Certificate III in Animal Care Services is designed as a general industry qualification to prepare students to embark on a career as an animal carer. The Animal Academy focuses learning around the requirements of a kennel hand in animal care facilities or veterinary nurse assistant in a veterinary practice. As a student with The Animal Academy, you will be placed into specific handpicked animal care facilities and Veterinary practices*, to build your animal handling skills, gain a sound knowledge of caring for animals and carry out routine work activities within clearly defined guidelines and supervision within the facilities. Special focus is placed on maintaining infection control and health and safety within the work place, as well as basic care of animals, behaviour, welfare and enrichment. This is the small animal elective stream and focuses on various domestic small animals or exotics/wildlife.
