Chainsaw Course

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)

This course teaches how to safely and efficiently operate and maintain a chainsaw. No more worries when a fallen tree blocks your path. You will learn to assess a fallen tree and see where the compression and tension stresses are. Most importantly, you can then decide whether you will open the track or report it to the authorities. If clearing the tree is beyond your training and abilities, it is always better to be safe than be sorry.

This course involves trimming and cutting felled trees with a chainsaw in a variety of work settings including forest, agriculture, domestic, local council and emergency services environment, as relevant to the units.
