Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care is designed for those who want to take the next step in their career as a child care professional. With Australia’s population growing, the need for qualified educators continues to rise, making this qualification highly valued in the sector.
Through 15 nationally recognised units, you’ll build advanced skills to design and implement early learning programs, mentor other educators, and support the wellbeing, development, and education of children in your care.
Entry into this course requires completion of the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
- A complete and verifiable CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Apex Training Institute may require a language and literacy assessment during the application process - If working or completing work placement in an organisation that has children within Queensland, students will require a Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required to be provided within 14 days of enrolment at Apex*

- QLD Subsidised Training This training may be subsidised by the QLD Government for eligible individuals. Places are limited.
Self-Funded Fees: $3,341 to $3,838
Government-Funded Fees: $8 to $15
This certification course is eligible for the Career Boost Program.
Government Funding Program Requirements:
To be eligible, you must:
- be aged 15 years or older, and no longer in school
- permanently live in Queensland
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with an eligible visa subclass
- not already have a certificate III or higher qualification completed within the last 10 years (qualifications completed as a school student, and foundation skills qualifications don't count)
- not be enrolled in another qualification, even if it's on hold or deferred, whether funded by us (Department of Trade, Employment and Training) or not (foundation skills qualification don't count).
