The Diploma of Forensic Investigation provides students with the necessary knowledge, technical skills and attitudes to effectively perform the duties of a volume crime scene forensic investigator.

This is a restricted Police qualification, students must be currently employed by and nominated by an approved policing agency to be eligible to enrol.

Entry requirements

Domestic Students

  • There are no mandated entry requirements.
Must be currently employed by an Australian Policing Agency or Military Police and be nominated/supported either financially or otherwise by the relevant jurisdictional forensic section within that State/Territory; AND Demonstrate relevant knowledge and skills to undertake vocational education and training at the diploma level. Additional requirements may apply.
