Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety Work Health and Safety Diploma is recommended for people who coordinate and maintain the work health and safety (WHS) program in an organisation and are looking to further develop their skill sets.
This qualification reflects the role of practitioners who either hold a BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or apply a substantial knowledge base and well-developed skills in various WHS contexts.
With almost all industries now requiring a WHS professional in the team, this qualification is designed for people or organisations to provide formal qualifications as required by their industry, enabling you or a staff member to upskill and move forward in your career.

Entry requirements
Domestic Students
- There are no mandated entry requirements.
All core units in BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent competencies.
Equivalent competencies are predecessors to the following units, which have been mapped as equivalent:
- BSBWHS412 Assist with workplace compliance with WHS laws
- BSBWHS413 Contribute to implementation and maintenance of WHS consultation and participation processes
- BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management
- BSBWHS415 Contribute to implementing WHS management systems
- BSBWHS416 Contribute to workplace incident response
