Ensure the Safety of Transport Activities (Chain of Responsibility)
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)All individuals involved with the movement of goods have a responsibility to ensure that each load they are transporting does not breach the Road Traffic Laws in Western Australia. Commonly broken Traffic Laws include: Height, Width, Length and Weight of the vehicle and its load and loads being secured incorrectly or unsafely. Loads must be secured as per the Load Restraint Guide and all freight containers must be transported with a compliant container weight declaration.
The main purpose of this course is to ensure all participants in the supply chain share responsibility for safety in relation to the movement of goods. It is the system by which all parties are responsible for a loads movement if they have the capability or opportunity to ensure the Heavy Vehicle National Laws and Western Australian laws are being complied with.
