Graduate Diploma of Health (Gerontology)

Nationally Recognised Higher Education

The new online Graduate Diploma in Health (Gerontology) aims to address the demand for education and workforce needs in caring for the elderly, recently identified by the Royal Commission Into Aged Care.

Throughout this course you will examine key aspects of pathophysiology and pharmacology, normal ageing as well as comprehensive assessments, whilst also developing your analytical, leadership and communication skills.

Graduates may work across the aged care sector upon successful completion. This course is suitable for those who have a degree in a health discipline (or equivalent). Degrees in other discipline areas may be considered providing there is evidence of relevant work experience with older adults.

In order to satisfactorily engage with the curriculum, integrating theory and practice, it is recommended students are currently in a professional role working with older adults.
