Students who do not meet the admission requirements may be eligible for admission to the Master of Information Technology (C04295) with a cybersecurity major or the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology with a cybersecurity specialisation, or the Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Studies (C11247).

Domestic Students
- IELTS score of 6.50 or TOEFL iBT score of 79.00 or PTE score of 58.00 or its equivalent AND
Applicants must have one of the following:
• Completed Australian master’s or doctoral degree, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology or Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Technology
OR
• Completed Australian bachelor's degree, graduate diploma, or graduate certificate, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology or Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Technology with more than 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included)
OR
• Completed Australian bachelor's degree, graduate diploma, or graduate certificate, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology with more than 70% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included) AND A minimum of 2 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional experience AND An interest in the course and demonstrated understanding of the opportunities present in Cybersecurity
OR
• Completed Australian associate degree, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology with more than 75% of all subjects completed at pass level (conceded pass not included) AND A minimum of 2 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional experience AND An interest in the course and demonstrated understanding of the opportunities present in Cybersecurity
OR
• Completed Australian advanced diploma, or overseas equivalent, in Information Technology AND A minimum of 2 years full-time, or equivalent part-time, relevant post-secondary professional experience AND An interest in the course and demonstrated understanding of the opportunities present in Cybersecurity.Applicants who do not meet the criteria above should consider applying for C04295 Master of Information Technology (with Cybersecurity major), C11142 Graduate Certificate in Information Technology (with Cybersecurity specialisation), or C11247 Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Studies.

- Visa requirement: To obtain a student visa to study in Australia, international students must enrol full time and on campus. Australian student visa regulations also require international students studying on student visas to complete the course within the standard full-time duration. Students can extend their courses only in exceptional circumstances.
