Nationally Recognised Higher EducationOur Master of Nursing will prepare you for a career providing the highest quality person-centred and culturally safe nursing care in a variety of settings.
Your studies will include anatomy and pathophysiology, pharmacology, clinical and relational skills and nursing practices informed by Indigenous knowledges, history and realities, research, sociological contexts and determinants of health and illness, and introduction to various nursing practice contexts and specialties.
It is ideal for non-nursing undergraduate degree holders looking for a career change to enter the nursing profession.

Qualifications
Mandatory for Course Entry
You must have:
- A previous Australian level bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any discipline other than nursing, AND
- This qualification has been completed within 10 years prior to applying
Overseas nursing qualifications are acceptable.

English Language Requirements
Mandatory for Course Entry
This course requires you to provide evidence of your English proficiency set by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. There are two ways you can do this:
Option 1
Proof of previous studies in English
You can meet the English language requirements with previous study if:
- You attended and successfully completed at least six years of primary and secondary education taught and assessed solely in English AND
- This included at least two years in secondary school (between Year 7 and 12) AND
- This was completed in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, United States of America, Canada, Republic of Ireland, or the United Kingdom.
Option 2
English language skills test
You can meet the English language requirements if you complete one of the following English language tests within two years of the course commencement date:
- IELTS score: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 7.0 in each band
- TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 96 overall, including a minimum result of 24 in Reading and Listening, 27 in Writing, and 23 in Speaking
- Pearson Test of English: A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 68 in each band
