Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation and oxygen therapy in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
The SafeWork Australia model Code of Practice and the ARC recommend that first aid skills (HLTAID011/HLTAID012/HLTAID014) are renewed every three (3) years, and resuscitation skills (HLTAID009/HLTAID015) are renewed every 12 months.
This unit applies to persons who may be required to use specialised equipment to provide resuscitation or oxygen therapy in a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.
