Provide First Aid

Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET) This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty. The unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. This unit can be contextualised to the workplace as required. Learners can be completing first aid for the first time or completing it as part of their three (3) yearly requalification. The CPR component of the course is valid for 12 months and will need to be updated annually for you to keep the certification current. The identified target groups for the unit are broad ranging from those who may be required to provide first aid response and CPR in a range of situations including community and workplace setting. For many candidates it is a requirement to gain or maintain employment.
