Provide First Aid in an education and care setting
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)First aid response to infants and children is an invaluable skill for both you as an individual and for your community. This course applies to a range of workers within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency. This includes early childhood workers and educators who work with school age children in outside school hours care and vacation programs. In this course students will also learn how to perform single rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), care for head, neck & spinal injuries, dislocations, fractures and provide time-sensitive assistance to people suffering an allergic, asthmatic or anaphylactic reactions.
