Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)This unit reflects the role of individuals required to provide a first aid response in various situations, including in community, workplace, and educational settings across Australia. Individuals trained in this unit are responsible for delivering immediate, potentially life-saving care until emergency medical services arrive. They apply specialised knowledge and techniques in diverse situations, including first aid for injuries, illnesses, and other medical emergencies. Participants are also trained in maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations related to first aid procedures.
First aid responders work across a range of industries, including childcare, education, healthcare, and workplace environments.
