Provide First Aid
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)Students will learn the skills and knowledge to be able to provide a first aid response until higher assistance is provided.
The 1-day course is aligned with the Australian and New Zealand (ANZCOR) Guidelines regarding assessing a situation and managing casualties and others in an emergency.
Anyone appointed as a first aid officer in the workplace should hold a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for Provide First Aid as outlined in the First aid in the workplace Code of Practice.
They should also attend regular training to refresh their knowledge and skill. Training also applies to anyone who wishes to or may be required to provide a first aid response.
