Rail Operations Fundamentals Skill Set
Nationally Recognised Vocational Education and Training (VET)The Rail Operations Fundamentals Skill Set will provide you with a pathway to the Certificate IV in Train Driving.
This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to enter the rail corridor, apply fatigue management strategies, use communications, apply effective safety critical communications, follow work health and safety procures and develop an awareness of railway fundamentals such as track, trackside equipment, fixed structures, rolling stock and rail vehicles.
This training initiative has been designed for individuals with no prior rail industry experience to gain essential knowledge and skills in rail operations. Successfully completing this course will equip you with the skills and understanding to pursue a career in rail operations by providing foundational training that can count towards the skill sets required for a multitude of different rail operations careers, such as Train Driving, Terminal Operator, Yard Coordinator and Station Officer.
